Organisational benefits

The main business objective for the programme is to improve the FMC Technologies profit margins through improved project profitability and an increased number of “on-time, on cost, with 100% quality” projects. Further improvement of the general level of project competence at FMC Technologies will enable us to achieve greater project maturity and thus execute more successful projects on an ongoing basis.

Individual benefits

Each course in the training programme serves as a stepping-stone for your career development through:

  • Academic credits
  • Greater security as a project manager or participant
  • The effective learning methodology
  • Job support and access to best practice
  • Professionalism as a project professional
  • Personal recognition

About the e-learning

Metier has refined 30 years of project management experience into a suite of best of breed e-learning courses that makes learning happen and further on provides an immediate response to our customers business and project needs.

Time consuming classroom courses where the better part time is spent on keeping the non-prepared participants up to speed is an unfortunate alternative to focusing on personal inexperience and needs. Our experience in developing and delivering e-learning courses shows that results on tests and exams is considerably improved when the participant can plan the individual training process within a defined time span. The main reason for this is that they are able to focus on unknown areas and train themselves to acceptable levels in each of the courses’ defined lessons.

Lesson structure

When clicking on a course to begin, or continue studying, a window will open the chosen lesson. All courses follow a common lesson structure involving:

  • Learning objectives
  • Trigger questions
  • Theory
  • Examples
  • Pitfalls
  • Checklist
  • Cases
  • Quizzes

Our e-learning courses also include a final test to measure the knowledge level upon course completion. The e-learning courses are based on the “problem-solving” didactic approach which means that learning is triggered through practical cases and quizzes pin-pointed at specific learning objectives. An e-coach follows the participants throughout the course, and the participants have the option of contacting him/her at all times by e-mail and an answer will be provided within no more than 24 hours.
